Getting a dog used to wearing boots is a process. It is very normal to see an amusing high-step in the beginning. This is because they can’t feel the floor and it throws off their coordination, they need time to re-coordinate themselves. It may even take getting them outside and on with the walk before they start to realize that they can in fact walk & run as usual.
These are perfect! HUGE shoutout to Jenny L on the wagwear team. She reached out after my dogs last pair didn’t work for him and they were able to get me these instead. My dogs paw licking has gone down substantially just from putting these on when he goes outside. I’ll definitely keep buying these and the Mojave for longer walks or playing!
I like how they protect him from the ground. He is. puppy and still getting used to wearing shoes. I just don’t like how strong the shoe smells of rubber.
It was 91°F the first day Phoebe, my Airedale Terrier, wore her new Hot Pavement wellies. I loved that her pads were protected in such a stylish way. I added a sunflower collar slide to match. She looked adorable and brought so much joy to the cafe staff and to pedestrians.
My only issue is this: when she sits the boots on her rear paws tip upwards — it seems her feet slip out and when she stands the boots are turned outward and I need to adjust. This is the same as a puppy in one of your ads, so I didn’t think the tip up was a problem until we almost lost a boot.
No doubt the shoes are great for my poodle's paws it protects from the foxtail and rough terrain that we walked. The only downside is the back of the shoes it rubs against the break pads it is red and he licks it constantly when I took it off.
it needs to be longer at the back of the shoes not same length of the front of the shoes.
We’ve tried several different types of dog shoes, and Wagwear shoes have worked the best for us so far 😊. With a little practice and some treats, Doughy is now able to walk and run comfortably and happily in them. We’re very happy with this purchase!
Its the only brand of shoes she wears. But I do agree with some of the comments, the durability gets so short when GS wears them daily for their walks and playtime. I’ve bought about 6 or 7 pairs already, 2-3 broke, 1 almost done. I hope they make them last a little longer, especially with the price.
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent purchase of Wagwear dog shoes. I have had these shoes for less than a year, and the label is already peeling off — held on by what appears to be basic glue.
For a brand with Wagwear’s reputation and price point, I expected significantly better craftsmanship. This level of deterioration in under twelve months is simply not acceptable. It raises a serious concern: if this pair fell apart so quickly, how can I trust that the next pair won’t do the same?
I was actively planning to purchase your white shoes as my next buy, but this experience has me reconsidering whether to take my business to a competitor instead.
I would appreciate a response addressing what went wrong with this pair, and what Wagwear is willing to do to make this right — whether that’s a replacement, store credit, or another resolution.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you
Jonathan

Purchasing these booties for my baby has been nothing but pawsitivity! They hit all the marks for safety, convenience, and cuteness overload. We get stopped daily by people asking where we got them, and some who have considered buying these for their own children say they’re sold after seeing how nice and easy they are to wear. I absolutely love these little shoes!
My dog had a spinal cord injury and is partially paralyzed in his back left leg. These are the only shoes that he can walk in now. The rest develop a hole within a quick walk around the block since he drags his foot on the sidewalk. Wagwear has made it possible for him to walk outside without using a wheelchair or something else to completely elevate his foot!
My boy Ziggy loves his Wag Wear boots and he gets so many compliments on them anytime we’re out walking. Here we are in Big Bear a few weeks ago for a skiing trip.
These are awesome. They fit incredibly well and they stay on, even at the dog park. The key is to purchase a pair that is not too big (as we did previously). For reference, we ordered a XS for our 19lbs Shih-poo and they fit perfectly. These boots are also very easy to clean which is greatly appreciated as we live in a city with heavily salted sidewalks.
We haven't had much luck getting our pup to wear shoes. We once had a standoff in the park for 10 minutes after he refused to budge in some ill-fitting soft booties 8 years ago. After that, I gave up! That said, we are THRILLED with these rubber wagwear dog crocs and bought the solid version too! Our dog is a 23lb schnauzer at wears a Small. These are very easy to wash and they don't slip off when securely velcroed. I do recommend!
After trying some dog shoes, my dog was walking happy and comfortable.
Getting the right size for my English bulldog was hard because he was in between sizes. But I was able to do the exchange directly at the nyc store and the staff was very nice and helpful with all the exchange process.
I truly recommend this dog shoes, they seem to be more natural to my dog’s paw shape and size
Must say the customer service is immaculate. Received my shoes and, unfortunately, within the second use, the shoe started to break. Contacted the company, and they sent me a replacement. From the moment I received it, the shoe has been great. NY had a huge snowstorm, and thank goodness the shoes held up great. We are a no-shoe household, and having these shoes has been a game-changer for my family. Finally, bothering to clean her feet every time we go for walks has been great. Shoe has proven to be great; she is on her third pair. We love the ones without holes and with holes during the warmer months
Shika loves her boots!
They are perfect size and she got used to them from day one! Easy to put them on, a few times I saw that she lost one, but that’s on me, I needed to secure the velcro better. Getting many compliments from neighbors 🤩
Awesome booties! Got a size M for my ~37lb goldendoodle and I think they fit just right. Love how easy they are to get on. My dog definitely walks a little funkier in these compared to his other more “sock-like” boots he has (though those are more of a pain to get on) since there thicker and more shoe-like, but I think he’ll get used to it. These feel very high quality, and love that they come with a little carry bag! I’ll probably have to snag a pair of the Mojave style for hot weather :)
Frankie was born without back paws so coverage is critical to his mobility. His Wagwear wellies have been a life saver! They are durable but still provide comfort and daily wearability. We love them!!
These boots are the best! Truly waterproof, super easy to clean, good traction and best of all they don't fall off. Slight learning curve to put on, but worth the extra time when you don't have to clean muddy paws. We've used them during our first Chicago winter and I'm so happy with the purchase. The highly rated boots we bought earlier in the season were not waterproof, tough to clean and wore through within a couple of weeks of use.
