Amy Harlow is the Founder and Designer of Wagwear, a lifestyle brand creating thoughtfully designed products for dogs and their people.

After studying design at Parsons School of Design in New York City and spending a decade working in the fashion industry as a model, Amy developed a deep appreciation for timeless design, craftsmanship, and the relationship between form and function. In 1998, she brought that perspective to the pet industry, founding Wagwear with the belief that dog products could be every bit as well designed as the products we choose for ourselves.

The idea began with two six-week-old Shiba Inus, Lucy and Tonto. As a new dog owner, Amy quickly discovered that most pet products were either practical or fashionable, but rarely both. Drawing inspiration from classic American sportswear, workwear, travel, and the outdoors, she set out to create a collection that felt modern, functional, and enduring.

Over the next two decades, Wagwear grew from a small independent brand into a recognized name in dog lifestyle products. In 2006, Amy opened Wagwear's flagship store in New York City's Greenwich Village, creating a destination for dog owners seeking thoughtfully designed carriers, leashes, collars, coats, beds, bowls, and accessories.

Today, Amy continues to lead the company from Woodstock, New York, where she lives with her family and dogs. Her design philosophy remains rooted in simplicity, utility, and creating products that help dogs and their people explore the world together.

Amy is best known as the creator of WagWellies, including the WagWellies Mojave, an innovative dog boot designed to protect paws from hot pavement while maintaining a clean, modern silhouette. Introduced in 2021, Mojave quickly became a favorite among dog owners and helped introduce Wagwear to a global audience.

More than 25 years after founding the company, Amy remains committed to designing products that are functional, beautiful, and built for everyday adventures.
